Police have appealed for information after a Cullyhanna family suffered a terrifying ordeal during an aggravated burglary at their home last weekend.
A gang of men broke into the property on the Slatequarry Road around 7.50pm on Saturday evening, 31st March.
The men, some of whom had their faces covered, forced a woman and three young children into a room of the house before taking a 34 year old man outside and assaulting him. The victim sustained facial injuries and bruising in the attack.
Whilst the women and children were uninjured during the incident, they were left extremely shaken by their frightening ordeal.
Detective Sergeant James Johnston said police would like to speak to anyone who was in the Slatequarry Road area at the time and noticed any suspicious activity, or has any information about the incident. Investigating officers can be reached in Ardmore on the non-emergency number 101.
