A suspected brothel situated just yards from a Newry primary school was raided by police on Friday night.
Witnesses say detectives and uniformed officers entered the premises on Edward Street in the city around 7pm on Friday evening. The building is situated opposite St.Joseph’s Convent Primary School.
Police have confirmed they conducted a search of a property, in the Edward Street area of Newry, seizing a number of items which were taken away for examination. A PSNI spokesperson said enquiries were ongoing with no further details being released at this time.
